Privacy Policy

Talent X® is operated by volunteers of the GDG Aix-en-Provence community. We collect the minimum data needed to run a job board and talent pool — and we never sell it.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: email, display name, avatar (from Google sign-in if used), and a password hash.
• Profile data you choose to add: headline, bio, skills, location, links (LinkedIn, GitHub, website), CV, badges, availability, and visibility preferences.
• Activity: jobs you save, applications you submit, and conversations you start with sponsors.
• Payment data (sponsors only): handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number.

2. How we use it

• To run the platform: showing jobs, matching sponsors with talent.
• To send transactional emails (account, applications, messages).
• To prevent abuse and keep the community safe.

3. Who sees your profile

You control your visibility. By default, profiles are private. When you opt in to public, sponsors of the tier you choose can find you in the directory. CV downloads are restricted to Premium and Epic sponsors. You can switch your profile back to private at any time.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with: (a) sponsors when you apply to their jobs or accept a contact; (b) infrastructure providers (Lovable Cloud / Supabase, Stripe, Resend) acting as processors on our behalf.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, or export your data, and to object to processing. Email privacy@gdgaix.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers.

7. Retention

Profiles are kept while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your profile within 30 days; some legal/financial records may be retained longer where required by law.
